SHREVEPORT, LA – The Shreveport Auto Mall plans to have it’s second story expansion to be complete by 2019. Located on Bert Kouns Industrial Loop between Fern Avenue and Hwy 3132, the Shreveport Auto Mall has been a monument to man’s arrogance since 1891, selling everything from the Hummer to the ill-fated “Ford”. With the recent addition of Orr Kia, plans to expand the area are currently underway. The project will be fully funded by the City of Shreveport.

“2019 will be our year,” Elio salesman Chad Journey claims, “recent sales have been lower than expected, but the rumors of our $100 million debt are bunk and I think we’re on track to sell a few more in the coming years.” Elio plans on opening a 2000 square foot superplex within the proposed expansion. The 2 wheeled Elio Sport model is expected to make it’s debut at the grand opening.

The new second level expansion is expected to meet the need for more traffic in the metropolitan area, mirroring the growth of healthy traffic levels in nearby Dallas, Houston and Austin. More traffic would mean increased business and tax revenue for Shreveport/Bossier, something Councilman Larry Steele sees as vital for funding government building projects.
